Digital Machining is a newly initiated department within Sandvik Coromant - aiming to bring offers and products to the market and redefining the value chain experience for our customers through improved efficiency of operations. We do this by developing digital solutions for software and hardware, empowered by our core machining knowledge. Driving one of the most important strategic initiatives for Sandvik Coromant, we strive to position ourselves as a digital groundbreaker in the metal cutting industry.

Your mission
As Project Manager within Digital Machining, you plan, organize and monitor technical product development projects - from initiation to execution - and you ensure delivery on time, according to budget and within the specified scope of quality. You are responsible for the overall project plan in line with project charters, and you strengthen our delivery by securing and allocating the right resources, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative assets and managing dependencies, risks and opportunities. With an agile approach and active communication with steering groups, you ensure a high performing project delivery that adds a clear value for our customers.
In this position, you are based in Sandviken, and some business travel is included in your job.
Your character
We are looking for someone with extensive experience from project management, where we also value a certification and skills in agile project methodology such as Lean or Scrum. A degree in a relevant field of studies is advantageous. Knowledge of digital software development and a broad technical understanding is necessary, and you are very comfortable leading project members and interacting with multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional environment. We are a global organization, which calls for excellent verbal and written skills in English, while skills in Swedish are beneficial.
You are a natural organizer - utilizing your can-do attitude along with leadership abilities to enable results in your daily work. Combining structure and flexibility, you adapt to changing conditions, and you have a natural driving force that helps you transform decisions into actions. Great communication and networking skills and a talent for professional collaborations with our many partners are other necessities for success in this position. Also, we highly value your ability to identify possible issues and actively manage them before they turn into real-time risks
