JOB DESCRIPTION
The Firmware Platform team within our Research and Development organization is responsible for the firmware platform used by all Axis network video products. Our main focus is to integrate different components into our software platform and to deliver the platform internally to Axis' organization.
As a Project Manager for a Linux Firmware Platform Project, you will synchronize a number of function projects and lead the project from design phase until all necessary products are upgraded with the new firmware. Your main activities will be to:
• Create, execute and follow-up a plan for the project (from design phase until all releases are completed)
• Coordinate, support and follow-up the function projects included in the project
• Manage communication and coordination between platform project and other projects in our organization
• Report to the steering committee
• Uphold and improve defined working models
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a driven and goal oriented Project Manager with an educational background in engineering, preferably with a master degree in relevant subjects. The right candidates have experience from software development in a development organization working in project form and a strong interest in people management.
It is important that you are used to work with a large number of stakeholders and have good communication skills. You need to able to run several simultaneous tasks and implement new ways of working when needed in the project.
We believe the position requires a well-structured individual with social skills enabling a good team spirit and good performance in the projects. You have very good English skills.
