About the role

Do you want to drive the change for a cleaner world? As our new Project Manager in the Program and Change Management team, you will get the opportunity to do not only that but also challenge yourself with a wide variety of topics ranging from energy enterprise ERP solutions, energy business solutions with technology focus, infrastructure, compliance to cybersecurity and many more having a similar technology lens. You will independently plan and implement projects of all sizes together with the project owners, project stakeholders, and project teams, which are in our setting typically cross-functional and geographically distributed. You will be joining a supportive team and network of highly skilled Project Managers.

In this role you will get the chance to

• Act as the operative leader, leading and overseeing the project's day-to-day activities.
• Create the project plan together with relevant stakeholders and aligning with business case and tracking value creation and KPI's.
• Ensure that Fortum project model requirements are met and that the project risks and dependencies are evaluated. Take responsibility of the project financial planning, follow up and reporting.
• Share information and communicate actively and focus on removing roadblocks and resolving issues.
• Make sure that the project scope is delivered on time, budget, and quality and that the Value creation promised is delivered.

The Program and Change Management team in Business Technology currently consists of 18 people, most of which are project managers. We take the Project Manager role in IT related projects within the whole Fortum group. We have a vast range of competences, skills and experiences within the team for any subject matter that could be found in the Fortum group, and we are sharing our strengths with each other, to be stronger as a group. The Team Leads in the Program and Change Management team have different personalities and complement each other. What unites us all is that we want our people to thrive, i.e., grow, develop and be successful, towards a cleaner world. We are looking for

• At least 5 years of experience of running projects in this focus area and a Project Management Certification (e.g., IPMA, PMI, Prince) is mandatory.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in IT or business administration or other relevant area.
• Fluency in both verbal and written English.
• Experience of running projects in either Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid or SaaS methodologies and drive to lead any project large or small, strategic, or mandatory.
• Experience and understanding of IT and previous experience implementing a variety of projects, preferably in the energy or utility industry.
• Curious by nature, change resilient and passionate to learn, solution focused, willingness to take on any project.
• Structured and organized way of working with focus on results and getting things done.
• Ability to naturally build networks.
• Good leadership skills, presentation skills and clear communication skills as well as being able to create excellent presentation material in e.g. PowerPoint.

For our projects, our main offices are Espoo, Finland and Solna, Sweden and you will work with a great diversity of nationalities and personalities among Fortum employees and consultants. According to our hybrid working policy, we expect the Project Manager to be onsite, either in Solna office or Espoo office twice a week.
