We currently have the following job opening;
Project Manager Body & Exterior
As unit level project manager you will be responsible for managing the Body & Exterior development portion of totally new vehicles all the way from the concept phase to industrialization. You will also be a member of the Body & Exterior management team and play an important role in the future development of the unit.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Unit level project leader for assigned projects
• Lead the project work in fulfilment of cost, timing and performance targets.
• Lead and coordinate solution of cross functional issues
• Run unit level project meetings and participate in various vehicle level meetings to ensure progress and provide status reports
• Unit level status reports and escalations
• Ensure commonality targets in engineering solutions between different projects to be met
• Support line functions in providing input to enable balanced and timely product decisions
• Support line functions to evaluate technical concepts with respect to defined targets (cost, package, weight, performance …)
Requirements
• Technical expertise: - o Preferably a Master degree in Engineering
• o >10 years experience in Automotive Engineering in the field of Body & Exterior
• o Ability to solve technical challenges
• Leadership capabilities: - o Result oriented
• o Ability to lead and drive cross functional teams, with sometimes conflicting targets, to one common solution.
• o Persistency to pursue targets and take decisions
• Needed social skills: - o People management skills
• o Cultural sensitivity, especially Asian – European culture
• o Change management skills
