hela Sverige The main objective of this assignment will be to plan and oversee the rollout of migration of approximate 500 servers, from the current OpenVMS operating system to Linux.
This includes, but not limited to;
• Build positive relationships with stakeholders to pave way for a successful and efficient delivery.
• Map dependencies between activities and track progress to avoid bottlenecks or delays.
• Plan, prepare and track the migration pilot and rollout.
• Secure an organisation and ways of working fit for purpose for the rollout.
• Identify risks and dependencies. Develop agreed mitigation strategies.
In this role you will report to the engineering manager.
The role is located in Helsingborg, Sweden or Amsterdam, Netherlands.

This role is responsible for providing transparency and visibility on dependencies between and progress of the activities for the upcoming platform migration. Stakeholders internally and externally must be coordinated, which means that you are very experienced in communication and visualization of scope and status. Experience from how agile product development teams handle their backlog is a must to get up to 7 development teams coordinated. You are able to perform and prioritize daily work, both independently on your own, together with the team in their daily sprint work. You have experience as project manager, engineering manager, product owner or similar role(s) and feel comfortable in your role as a leader.
As a leader you are used to work and act in a large organisation with quarterly financing, and you are excellent in anchoring your vision with management. You are familiar with servant and situational leadership. You can communicate and inspire resources towards a vision and set goals. We also expect you to interact with colleagues from business and IT and collect all the necessary input, plan and execute the work to maximize the throughput.
Due to the complexity of the migration task, it is important to learn the functionality and technology behind the activities. It is important to have an open mindset, curiosity and interest to understand both the technical solution which the team is working with and the business flows in the stores that the system is supporting. Due to the technical nature of the work, it is important that you understand, embrace and are willing to learn and adhere to new technology.
This role is responsible for supporting the teams working with the migration in identifying and removing any potential impediments/blockers, manage any emerging dependencies and escalate when needed. This requires a technical and architectural understanding and interest of the system and IT landscape. It is also important that you have an understanding of the release and deployment process. Previous experience of working within IKEA is beneficial.
You have experience from the Atlassian change management tool suite: Jira and Confluence.
Hands on experience of the operating systems Linux is a benefit.
