Axis is now looking for an experienced Project Manager positioned in our Research & Development organization focusing on the Technology Product Platform.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will lead and be part of a very talented and devoted team with focus on innovation, systemization and development in Axis market-leading network video solutions.
As Project Manager a challenge is to lead one or several projects in parallel with various scope and complexity. The projects encapsulate both hardware and software related requirements. You will lead the best engineers and cooperate with other product, project and line managers from different units.
At product platforms you will play a very important role in the team using all your leader and coordination skills to guide successfully in the embedded systems arena with focus on camera products.
Your responsibilities are:
• Project lead our technology platform projects
• Be a key player securing our technology platform evolution
• Securing budget and resource estimates
• Enforce the collaboration with other development units and securing key stake holders for projects
• Contribute to our processes and methodic in the project manager forums
• Bridge the interface between core technology development and the product teams

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Axis is looking for a structured and multitasking individual with substantial project management experience. You are honest, open minded, strive for success and keep a constant focus even if failure is a fact. You always take full responsibility and have high pride in delivering quality on time. In order to be successful in this position we believe that you are flexible, have good leader skills and an excellent attention to details. You create great leadership with a mixture of humility and professional will to succeed with the organization. Leading with questions, dialog and debate inspires you. Performing critical reviews without blaming and securing an information system that raises the flag when attention is needed is your daily business.
As teamwork is crucial for Axis as a whole and for our group we believe it's important that you promote and maintain good team spirit in the creative and stimulating work environment.
You have a Master's degree in computer science or similar, some years of project management experience, are used to agile methods and have competence in tools like MS Project. You are a pedagogical and communicative project manager with the ability to coordinate and structure several projects in parallel.
Your English is fluent, both written and verbal.
THE PRODUCT PLATFORMS TEAM
You will be working in the Product Platforms team consisting of 25 experienced engineers that develop the foundation for Axis future products.
We are responsible for and deliver the SW technology platforms on which the product development organization builds cameras. The team is also a competence center in the R&D organization for the Linux kernel and HW device drivers.
The typical employee in our team has a Master's degree and works in roles such as software engineer, technical lead, technical expert or project manager. Our goal is to efficiently run SW platform development projects that enable delivery of products to the market with high quality to strengthen Axis' leading position.
