Unit/Department Description:
The Operations Support staff function within Husqvarna Division Manufacturing supports the nine factories located in Sweden and globally within the manufacturing related areas of Lean, logistics, quality, information systems/IT, EHS and finally Manufacturing Engineering (ME).
In ME the key areas are production and maintenance engineering & processes, alignment to product roadmaps, factories capacity and investment planning, make-or-buy and related structural development, all based on the manufacturing strategy.
Position/Job Description:
The Project Manager - Manufacturing Engineering has responsibility for leading projects, might be cross-functional or multi-site, successfully towards defined and agreed results.
There will also be needs for studies, investigations, training or operational support at or between the factories and with other related stakeholders.
Projects may include, but are not limited to: product roadmap & volume analyses, make-or-buy, technology/material/process choices and development, investment management support, production transfers and common processes.
This position is located in Huskvarna, Sweden or at a suitable manufacturing site.
You are
An experienced person with background preferably in manufacturing or maybe international supply chain or industrial product engineering.
You have a drive for improvement of flows, operations, processes and technologies. You have an international mindset and likes the challenge to work with multiple sites in many countries.
The position requires some international travelling and potentially shorter or longer assignments on sites.
Required experience
• High degree of technical aptitude with a good knowledge of manufacturing
• Insight into Lean Manufacturing, TPM and similar manufacturing techniques
• International work or project experience with sites in different countries.
Desired experience
• Relevant industrial product and manufacturing engineering experience
• Knowledge in quality planning and improvement tools like FMEA and DFMA
• International supply chain experience
As a person you have strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as strong planning and organization skills with a high attention to detail. You have good interpersonal, teamwork, and oral/written communication skills. You are results oriented and manages effectively multiple priorities simultaneously and meets set deadlines. You have the ability to adapt to changes and knows how to prioritize work.
