You will be heading one of the project sections within Grid & Power Quality Solutions, in Västerås, which belongs to the ABB Power Grids' business line Grid Integration. It is the world's leading supplier of power products, systems and service solutions within power transmission. Our offer spans transformers, HV products, systems for power transmission and solutions as well as automation for integration and interconnecting power grids - to enable a stronger, smarter and greener grid.
As part of the ABB Power Grids / Grid Integration's portfolio, our quality power technology enables power system owners to increase capacity in the existing power grid while the electrical stability improves. As a result, more power reaches the customers at a minimal environmental impact, shorter project lead time and at lower investment costs. Your responsibilities
As head of Projects, you will be leading the project section for the Swedish Operating Unit, working mainly with projects on local Markets and for selected projects on global level.
In this position you report directly to the Operating Unit Manager of Grid & Power Quality Solutions.
Responsible for a project-portfolio, to make sure that our customer commitments are delivered with excellent HSE (health, safety and environment) considerations and quality performance, on time and on budget.
Your responsibilities include all commercial and contractual aspects within our project portfolio.
You will be involved from tender preparation all the way throughout project execution.
It will be your responsibility to make sure our projects deliver the expected revenue, profitability and cash flow; to support the decision on the project setup, to allocate resources, and to handle risks and opportunities within your project portfolio.
Your team consists of experienced Project Managers, reporting directly to you.
Your primary assignments will be to coach, lead and develop this team and to support the development the related processes and working methods, in order to support the implementation of our strategy.
Leading project reviews, resolve escalated issues, consistently apply contract and claims management, and participate in risk review meetings.
It will be important that you build and maintain relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.

Your background
This is a senior management position, for which you should have extensive leadership experience with staff responsibility.
You have deep knowledge about the execution of complex projects and about financial reporting.
Experience from the transmission and distribution industry, as well as from working with customers and suppliers are also important.
You enjoy leading, motivating and developing people, and you are used to building strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
You are highly self-motivated and result-oriented and will enjoy the challenge of taking full ownership of the execution of your project portfolio.
You need to be fluent in English and any additional language skills are welcome.
