Technical Project Engineering focuses on a range of engineering disciplines e.g. electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, structural, automation and software engineering. The activities associated with project engineering include: discipline engineering and design; planning, risk assessments; coordination of resources (personnel and equipment).
You will be part of Center of Competence Power Quality (former FACTS), a business unit within Hitachi Energy. FACTS technology enables power systems owners to increase the capacity of their existing power systems while improving electrical stability at the same time. The result is more electrical power can reach consumers with minimal environment impact after shorter project times and at lower investment costs. This pioneering technology is developed at the Power Quality unit in Vasteras and sold to customers worldwide.
Our unit in Vasteras, currently has a vacancy for a Project Engineer - Electrical Design, at our CoC Service department. If you have the necessary drive and results focus, we can offer a stimulating and dynamic environment in a global context where you will be working at the forefront of the industry.
Your Responsibilies:
You will be responsible for fault tracing and proposal of corrections in the electrical design of our installed base worldwide
You will be responsible for design of upgrades and updates of sub-systems such as Control, Relay Protection and Auxiliary power.
You will convert technical requirements into a validated design and ensure that customer requirements are met.
You will manage tenders of upgrade and update projects of our installed base
You will be working in close collaboration with Design Engineers in Sweden, India and our local units worldwide

Your background & profile:
You need to have an analytical mindset combined with a focus on quality and the ability to propose and design solutions.
Since you are service minded and hold high quality and on time delivery as equally important, you manage your own planning with diligence.
As a natural team player, you are communicative, collaborative and always open to new ideas.
You have a Technical High School diploma, and experience in a similar role within the area of Power Systems. Proficiency is if you also have been working with products or service business.
It is valuable if you have a University degree in Electrical Engineering and have experience in Electrical Design, Relay Protection Configuration & Testing, Auxiliary Power calculations, commissioning, E3 CAD tool as a user or super user, and/or Model Based Design.
Since you will be part of a global business, you need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken
