SIWI is currently recruiting a Programme Managerr to work with the thematic area of Transboundary Water Management and support to the implementation of the new UNESCO Category II Centre on Water Cooperation for 1 year with possibility ot extend to max 2 years.
Duties of a Programme Manager
Undertake activities to support full implementation of the SWP team
• Develop new ideas.
• Responsible for outreach and communications-
• Budgeting and reporting.
Other activities can also occur and the tasks can be expected to change over time according to assigned projects.
Education
An advanced university degree in a field relevant to transboundary water management. APhD degree is considered to be a merit.
Previous Experience
At least 5-10 years of experience of water resource governance and IWRM in a transboundary contexty, of working with water, energy and food nexus th links to transboundary water issues.
• -Experience of capacity building, applied research and/ or advisory services.
Language and communication skills
As the working language is English, the applicant must have excellent written and oral ability, including presentation skills, in English, and preferably the ability to speak French, Spanish, Portugese, Chinese or Arabic.
