The section Electrical Distribution System Installation, part of Electrical Distribution and Body Electronics, is responsible for the development of solutions for power distribution and wiring for all platforms in Volvo Car Group product range. The engineering work is done in cross-functional engineering teams including international development suppliers.
As Program Leader in the electrical distribution area you will have a cross-functional responsibility in programs with support from experienced designers and international development suppliers. You role will contain definition of requirements, time schedules and other pre-requisites to be used as base for the engineering work. You will also follow project deliveries from technical timing and quality perspectives.
Main responsibilities
* Lead development of subsystems and component solutions
* Ensure definition of requirements and balancing of these for the affected subsystems and components
* Drive team's activities according to project objectives
* Secure planned program integration activities
* Establish time schedules and follow up cost
* Drive the team's decision making in cooperation the line organisation
* Ensure effective daily cooperation with development suppliers
Required qualifications
* B.Sc in electrical or mechanical engineering or similar competence achieved through working experience
* Experience in electrical automotive engineering
* Fluent in English - written and spoken
* Driving license B
* Availability to travel
