Assa Abloy's Swing Doors Team are looking for a Product Specialist to Business Area Door Solution within Business Segment Pedestrian. Welcome!
As part of the Product Support team, you serve our customers with expertise, support and education. You interface towards a wide variety of staff including installers, service personnel and the sales organization.
The Product Specialist plays a key role feeding back information to R&D revealing potential short comings and ensuring that future solutions relate to our customer's needs.
You will be part of a dynamic R&D team and work with products related to our Business Area Pedestrian Door Solutions. Our door automation solutions are machines serving millions of people in public areas and we take pride in complying with several national and international safety standards without compromising on user experience, energy efficiency or security.
About the Position
Being a Product Specialist for Swing Doors means supporting a wide portfolio of products and door systems, working with high volume products that are sold worldwide. We now see arising demands for sustainable and environmentally friendly doors adopting to new regulatory standards and this is our focus area.
Swing Doors are now taking great steps in modernizing the products which means that you will be deeply involved with developments teams within software, mechanics, electronics and app/configuration tools.
As a product specialist you sometimes also drive some of the smaller changes in the product to improve the customer experience. Education and supporting the development of installation and service manuals is another part of the work to ensure that we have the right knowledge in the service organizations. Visiting customer sites are also a very important task to trouble shoot issues, making them possible to reproduce and to be aware of what's going on in the field.
Background and personal qualities
We are looking for a customer focused, well-structured person with a high drive and passion. You have a communicative collaborative mindset and enjoy contributing as a member of a team but also have the ability to work independently. To be successful in this role you have a supporting mindset and product system perspective/experience.
• Educational background or hands on experience in mechanics and electronics or equivalent is required
• Hands-on experience from electro-mechanical products with embedded software is highly beneficial
• Hands-on experience with products that are on-site installed, configured and serviced is highly beneficial
