As Product Quality Engineer you will be part of our team in Product Quality and Testing Department based in Gothenburg. You will be responsible for quality assurance of the components delivered by suppliers to FlexLink, and also for ensuring that the products produced at FlexLink have high level of quality that meets customer expectations.
Beside close work with other Product Quality Engineers in Sweden, Poland and China, you will also work with purchase-, design- and planning department but also with our suppliers and internal and external customers. It is a temporary position during at least one year since the person holding the position today will go on maternity leave. The role will report to Supervisor Product Quality & Testing. Travels within Europe will occur.
Main activities and responsibilities
• Quality assurance of parts delivered by external suppliers
• Supplier audits, quality meetings and evaluation of potential and existing suppliers
• Lead change of supplier process together with purchasing
• Approval of initial samples
• Creating and maintaining company documentation, such as quality manuals and quality processes and procedures
• Internal and external complaint handling in 8D format
• Be Product Quality representative in new projects
Experience and Requirements
• Mechanical Engineering degree
• Minimum 1-2 years experience from working with quality assurance, suppliers and complaints
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standard
• English, written and spoken
• Knowledge to interpret and understand technical drawings
• Knowledge of 8D method, 5 whys, Ishikawa is meritorious
• Knowledge in PPAP process is meritorious
• Knowledge in SAP is meritorious
