hela Sverige We are currently looking for a Product Quality Assurer for our customer within the automotive industry in Gothenburg.
Mission:
The Product Quality Assurer (PQA) is responsible on behalf of the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) for a given project to secure that Product Quality is properly covered by the engineering project team. PQA will cover the full scope of the project at E&EE level.
Product Quality includes safety and all the features related to Quality and Uptime: Reliability, Durability, Maintainability and Quality impression.
In this document Product quality includes the safety aspect (activities, tools, deliveries).
The Product Quality Assurer responsibility is not to perform quality activities but to make sure that product is developed and delivered with quality through processes, methods and tools application at every step of the product development.
The PQA shall ensure that E&EE deliveries reach the Product Quality targets from a cross-functional perspective.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
• Propose for the scope of the project an EE Product Quality Assurance Plan (including Quality Tool Plan...) to the Electrical Engineering Project Manager (EEPM), to the Project Manager Quality (PMQ) and to the Site Quality Manager
• Plan, follow up, and report status of the EE Product Quality Assurance Plan execution and highlight deviations to the EEPM and to the Site Quality Manager
• Identify and escalate cross-functional product quality issues to EEPM and PMQ.
• Secure that needed communication in the engineering project team meeting is done regarding when to apply the quality methods, process and tools in the project
• Secure that all required quality activities are done according to relevant instructions (eg. Formal inspections according to GDI 966-93), and secure that findings are taken care of before releasing data
• Secure that potential failures are identified during proactive quality activities (Risk analysis, FMEA, Dependability analysis) and that they are addressed and solved in the early phases.
• Secure that actual failures are detected during verification activities (CQ Problem reports, CQ defect reports, Protus) and that they are addressed and solved in time.
• Secure that product definition is cross-functionally reviewed through the application of the APQP process (Advanced Product Quality Planning), for instance:
o Mock-up assembly agreement (MAA)
o Review of Technical Specification (RTS)
o Product Application Agreement (PAA)
o Engineering Design Review (C-EDR, P-EDR)
o Critical characteristics (CC)
• Support the quality audits performed in the project.
Additional responsibilities
• Highlight process issues to the Process manager / Process Office
• Provide recommendation of EDR approval from a product quality perspective to the Site Quality Manager
Authorities
• Own the EE Product Quality assurance plan for a given project (quality tools, formal inspections, APQP, quality audits...) in agreement with the quality manager and EEPM.
Competence needed:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent (mechanical...)
• Experience of working within product development in the areas of EE system, functional and SW development
• Experience from working with Product Quality Management methods and tools for both SW and HW
• ISO26262 experiance
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• High business and customer focus
• Excellent communication skills
• Good social and networking skills
• Automotive industry knowledge
