Sustainable transport solutions is a broad area and consists of many parts. The section Autonomous Systems Development consists of seven groups and are focusing on onboard technology and software for self-driving vehicles. In the group Vehicle Behaviour we are responsible for the onboard software component for understanding the surroundings; traffic situations, prediction of objects amongst others, summarized to situational awareness as well as the software component for decision making. We have a great challenge ahead of us and our section is an important part of Scania's shift towards sustainable transport solutions.
Work tasks
As a Product owner (PO) at Autonomous systems Vehicle behaviour, you will work closely together with group manager and a development team of 8 inspiring and engaged colleagues. The team has a mix of gender and age and we work in an agile work environment. The development is done in C/C++ on our software platform. You will be responsible for one or more software components which includes several modules. In that responsibility it 's included to:
• defining the product vision and setting up the product roadmap
• knowing his/her product details and also his/her users/stakeholders
• negotiating WHAT with the stakeholders and collecting requirements to the product
• translating customer requirements into clear user stories together with the team
• making sure that there is an answer on WHEN for the specific product
• adding new user stories to the product backlog
• updating and prioritizing the backlog
• constantly exchanging dialogue, knowledge and status with other product owners in the organization and with the development team
• raising specific PO-issues to synchronize with other POs.
• communicating and aligning changes to his/her product with users, managers and other stakeholders
The work is done in close collaboration within the Autonomous Transport Solution Development flow together with team colleagues, other Product Owners, Chef Product owners, Release Train engineers and line managers.
Your profile
With your several years experience of working with software development you have the ability to analyse details as well as working with higher level strategic topics.
As a person you are enthusiastic, solution oriented and enjoy working with a team with colleagues in your near organisation as well as with other parts of a larger concern or with external partners. You believe in dialogue to be the way forward and strive for solutions with high quality.
You have the ability to understand complex systems and to communicate the field of work in a clear and easy understandable way. Experiences from an agile way of working is meritorious.
Good knowledge of English in both speech and writing is required as well as a passenger car driving license. Previous experience working with autonomous systems and/or vehicles is meritorious.
Most important is your passion to contribute on the journey were we together develop energy effective and autonomous transport solutions.
