Who we are
We are undergoing a huge transformation in our commercial system and how we do business. It is a fundamental shift from a wholesale business model to a consumer business model. A prerequisite for this transformation to happen is to deeply change the way we view, work with and manage consumer data.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Product Owner to drive the strategy and the development of a world class consumer account portal for Volvo Cars.
We are on an exciting journey and in the Commercial Digital team we work in customer-centric product teams to build products that make owning a car better. We work on products and platforms such as Volvo On Call, Connected Car Cloud Platform, Service Booking, Connected Safety, Customer Care Chat, Volvo ID, over-the-air updates, car connectivity, and APIs for building new innovative services.
The team is located in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Lund, Sweden, and we also have teams in the US and in China. Many of the people you will be working with have experience from start-ups and global tech companies such as Spotify, Google, Ericsson, Microsoft, Tradera, Klarna and King.
What you will do
In Commercial Data, we have the vision that every Volvo Cars user has a digital relationship with us, through a Volvo user account. All our decisions are informed by data, in order for us to give users a great, personal experience.
You will belong to the Commercial Data unit in Commercial Digital, collaborating closely with various other parts of the organization, such as Online business, Data & analytics and Consumer Experience.
To be able to reach that vision, we need to build a world class account portal, that provides our user with true value. This is where you come in.
You and your product team will together with relevant partners around the organization, design and build our consumer account portal - a global portal with the ability to support multiple brands. An embryo of the account portal exists already today but now, as an important stepping stone in our company's mission to become truly consumer centric, we are ready to take it to the next level. You will raise the bar, and form our long-term vision and strategy for the account portal. You will define and drive the product vision, strategy, objectives and key results, encouraging other teams to follow.

We are looking for a talented, driven and highly motivated team-player. You are user experience-obsessed, with strong data analysis skills and strategic thinking and will help us create a world class consumer account portal, bringing value to the consumer while supporting today's and tomorrow's business.
We believe you are an experienced product owner who has previously driven the strategy and development of consumer facing digital products. You think in a consumer centric fashion, and being data-driven is a given for you.
Your passion lies in digital business development and user experience and you love to interact with development teams to understand their platform needs and product missions.
You dare being bold with integrity and curiosity as guiding stars and have a relentless focus on customers. As a person you are user focused and passionate about solving problems. You are flexible, open to new ideas and always looking for ways to improve. Most likely you have implemented ways of working within your past role with a forward way of thinking and you push for innovation.
You have a holistic viewpoint and your are value oriented, with an ability to inspire and motivate others in working towards a goal. To succeed, we believe that your background and skills include:
• Leading and driving product strategy as a Product Owner, Product Manager or equivalent for a minimum of 3 years
• Work experience with processes and agile development methodologies in digital product teams
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
• Fluent in English, both verbally and written
Location is at the headquarters in Gothenburg but you could be based in Lund or Stockholm. We are very flexible here, as long as your are willing to travel on a regular basis to Gothenburg.
