Product Manager wanted
to
Wayfinder in Lund!

The market for mobile location based applications is rapidly expanding and Wayfinder, as one of the leading companies within mobile navigation, needs to expand as well to meet the increasing demand for our products.

The Wayfinder product portfolio is diversifying and the intention is to cover the complete need for location based applications for our customers, which are mainly the mobile operators and mobile phone manufacturers. With more products and a wider user base the importance of competent and dedicated product managers with end-user focus is higher than ever.

Tasks and responsibilities
The product manager is fully responsible for every aspect of a product, a feature set or a product family, which means working with specifications, development projects, quality assurance, competitor analysis and several other tasks. The product manager is assisted by technical product managers, product marketing people and QA engineers and is responsible for the products always being at the highest possible level from a user's perspective.

The successful applicant will need to make decisions about the products based on input from marketing and sales, from the development department and personal insights into the needs of the end-users and the market demands. The end-user experience of the products is always the highest priority and the day-to-day tasks include finding the best compromises between primarily development costs and achieving the perfect solution to every problem. This requires good insight into the mobile application technology and the challenges involved in the development of new products and features.

Qualifications
A University degree (or equivalent) within computer science, software engineering or similar is required. 3-5 years of relevant work experience is required

The successful applicant should have a very strong end-user focus and strive to accomplish the best user experience possible with every detail of the product. A good technical understanding is required and experience from consumer products, IT, mobile applications or work within the mobile industry is a must.
