hela Sverige You will be a key player in the Product Management organization of the Global Product Group, reporting to the Head of Product Management and coordinating the activities with the overall Shunt Compensation Product Manager.
As Product Manager you are responsible for defining and driving the strategy to assure profitable and sustainable world-wide business for synchronous condenser system solutions by defining base offerings, pricing guidelines and market position.
Your role will be to support business results by overseeing all steps in the solution life cycle, including development, new solutions launches, supporting the business development and solution maintenance. You will track and analyze performances in terms of capability to fulfill customer expectations, sales volumes, cost levels, and trigger the needed corrective actions when appropriate.
You will work with different Research & Development (R&D) ABB organizations to propose and evaluate solution feasibility projects, evaluate investment and priorities, set-up solution roadmap. You will also collaborate with the Product Management team and internal Marketing and Sales teams to define the marketing messages, marketing plan, including marketing communication activities, training activities and sales initiatives.
In addition, the PM of Synchronous Condenser Solutions will ensure technical and commercial support to the sales and engineering force during the business development phase, tendering process and execution.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience within product management as well as technical understanding of synchronous machines. A Master's degree is considered additional value, as is additional relevant experience.
It is preferred that you have experience from turnkey projects in the power industry. You should have some leadership experience and display strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills. You should be comfortable interacting with customers and with proven experience of successful sales activity, on technical or commercial aspects. You should be confident facilitating internal and external seminars and trainings for both colleagues and customers.
You should be comfortable with pro-active business development, have proven experience with establishing and optimizing commercial set-ups, and also be comfortable working in a dynamic environment where you shape your own structure and work approach. The job requires some travel, up to 10%.
In addition, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary, and skills in analytics tools are strongly preferred. Lastly, strong proficiency in English, written and spoken alike, is necessary for this role, while Swedish is beneficial but not necessary.
