hela Sverige Axis initiative within Access Control Solutions is a new area that will become increasingly important as part of the total offering to the market. We will therefore continue to strengthen the team with a Product Manager focusing on Network Door Stations - devices combining communication, video surveillance and remote entry control in one single device.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Product Manager you will have the main responsibility for a specific category of products, you will manage the entire product life cycle. Together with portfolio management, you will manage products from existing ideas, help to develop new products based on Axis industry experience, contact with the market and new innovations.
In this role you will work in the New Business team, responsible for existing and new offerings around Network Door Stations. You will work closely with portfolio management, other product managers in your team, product specialists, the R&D team and key partners to drive a complete Axis solution offering within Network Door Stations. You will also work with other departments such as marketing, sales and business development to define go-to-market strategies, product positioning and market communication.
Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Define products in close co-operation with and guidance from portfolio management
* Drive complete product life cycle with key focus on 18-24M launch horizon
* Owner of Product requirements and prioritizations
* Key interface towards R&D for your products
* Owner of the products go to market strategy
* Benchmark towards competition and market needs
* Maintain and develop good business relations with internal and external stakeholders
The position requires around 30 days of travelling per year.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As a Product Manager it is important to enjoy spending time in the market to understand their needs and based on that, specify innovative solutions for the market. You must have broad experience from both business and technology, preferably from product lines containing both hardware, firmware and surrounding software solutions.
We believe you are an open minded and socially skilled individual who is always open to colleagues and customers. You have excellent teamwork skills and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. We believe that you have the ability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contacts. You have a structured way of solving and attacking tasks and issues, yet a flexible mindset, enjoy high pace and are open to change.
Furthermore we believe you have:
* Minimum 5 years of experience as product manager
* Experience of product lines containing hardware, firmware and software solutions
* Experience from IP network connected systems and solutions
* Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
* Interest and knowledge in technology and software development
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English

New Business is an organization within AXIS with teams in Lund, Sweden and Prague, Czech Republic. We are responsible for evaluating new business ideas and M&A opportunities from a technical and a commercial perspective. We develop a number of innovative product lines outside Axis network video, to offer our customers the best products, solutions and services on the market. The team has market oriented product and solutions resources, product development resources and a M&A team. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity which build on a flexible and open co-operation with other departments.
