What you'll be doing
The main purpose of this role is, to support the nobia organisation, implementing in-house manufactured products using Automated engineering software 2020 Insight/Construct, which is Imos based customized to the furniture industry. Based in our new automated factory. This will involve being hands on in supporting Face to Face manufacturing requirements and supporting different Area's of our strategy : Accelerate time to Market , Increase productivity , Engineering Automation and products fit for Manufacturing.
You will act as a bridge within the R&D function to take proven NPD designs from the "Product Design Phase" into the "Implementation Phase" ready for Automated manufacture introduction.
By using data, variables, rulesets and drawing templates you will develop and test 3D parametric models ready for order generation, automated drawing generation, CNC code generation, E-BOM generation and M-BOM development direct to manufacturing, to ensure accurate production without manual intervention.
During projects it is a key part of the Role to work closely with Product Developers, other Production Engineers, Project Managers from multiple parts of the business to support implementation of new products (from design to the factory floor). Also supporting Master Data and Production Implementation teams to aid further Multi Level Data enhancement to the Order translation system.
• Parametric Model Creation
• Drawing Template Creation/Improvement
• Testing of engineering Drawings
• E-Bom generation & Testing
• Following Design Briefs / Range Contents / Bespoke Rules
• Testing Models through automated Machine applications
• Project updates including contributing and working with the Nobia Go To Market process
Your skillset for performance:
• Proactive behaviour and the ability to problem solve
• Can demonstrate a basic understanding of Rulesets / Variables / Coding ( Basic knowledge and enthusiasm in area's such as SQL , VBA , PLC's , etc. )
• Development / Engineering / Manufacturing type background including for product construction
• An understanding of Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacture (SolidWorks / AutoCAD/ Construct / 3D modelling_
• Positive personality and the ability to gain and build trust in a team, and use the right type of communication in different situations and levels
• The ability to work in a fast moving environment, with a complex business structure and across the Nordic region (Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark)
• Can work with both Data and Drawing
• Fluent in Swedish and English
