This role is a newly established position at SSE, and you will play a key role in its development and growth. You will be part of the Group Finance team and report directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating procurement processes to ensure optimal terms and prices.
- Analyzing purchasing patterns and proposing improvement measures to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
- Managing independent procurement processes and providing support to other departments with their procurement needs.
- Integrating sustainability into all aspects of the procurement process, aligning with the school's sustainability strategy.
- Implementing and overseeing sustainability actions aligned with SSE's Sustainability Strategy.
- Monitoring and assessing departments' ongoing sustainability efforts, developing relevant metrics and benchmarks.
- Actively participating in the development and implementation of comprehensive Sustainability Policies.
- Ensuring adherence to best practices in procurement and sustainability initiatives.
- Leading and executing sustainability projects to drive positive change and continuous improvement.
- Performing other related tasks as required within the department.
Qualifications:
- Relevant higher education in business administration, procurement, or equivalent field.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement with strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Deep passion for sustainability and integrating sustainability principles into procurement practices.
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Meritorious:
- Curiosity about how AI and digital methods can optimize work processes.
- Proven ability to independently manage and structure projects effectively.
