This position will be located at our vibrant site in Södertälje, where you will be in charge of the procurement of a number of capital engineering projects. The main categories of spend are design, construction, manufacturing equipment and other consultancy and services. It will also include accountability for creation of project procurement strategies, and implementation of sourcing, tendering, negotiations and contracts, as well as supplier relationship management for a number of critical suppliers. The capital projects will be mainly located in Sweden, but could also be in other countries, and will allow for both local and cross-border teamwork, as you will be a part of an international procurement team based across Sweden, UK and the US.
What you'll do
As a direct result of the work that you will do, AstraZeneca will be able to discover and manufacture innovative life-saving medicines for millions of patients around the world! You will work with project team members to assess project drivers, external market conditions and develop Procurement Strategies.
Accountabilities
* Procure Design, Construction, Equipment, and other services as needed
* Use existing category strategies, as well as research new vendors in the market
* Develop and manage tender packages via AstraZeneca's e-sourcing platform, including due diligence
* Supplier performance management and development
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the function, such as process development, template and contract improvements
* Report cost savings via the AstraZeneca value tracking system
* Own and manage relationships with your key suppliers
* Help AstraZeneca achieve its market-leading Ambition Zero Carbon programme (reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our global operations by 98% by 2026 and halve our entire value chain footprint by 2030), through supplier improvement engagement and development
* Align with all AstraZeneca requirements relevant to the role, e.g., Code of Conduct, contract approvals, third party risk management
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have previous procurement experience, and the ability to operate in a fast-moving dynamic workplace. You should thrive in a collaborative environment and have the ability to influence others through good communication.
You will also need
* Proficiency in Business English and Swedish
* Degree or equivalent professional qualification
* Strong analytical and financial skills
Desirable requirements
* Professional procurement qualification
* It is also preferable, but by no means required, to have experience of procuring design and construction services, and construction or equipment contracts
