We currently have an opening for a Principal Subject Matter Expert for our diagnostic systems, data and data structures, in our team in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Subject Matter Expert role involves developing and maintaining diagnostic systems, and data requirements, and to lead the technical development to meet future challenges within the Diagnostic Service Based Solution area.
Taking this position, you will belong to a global organization, working in an AGILE way and join colleagues who are sharing the passion for aftermarket. You will have the possibility to develop your network and knowledge within the Volvo Group as you will have possibility to interact with different parts of its organization, such as R&D, IT and the Brands.

Aftermarket Technology is a group function with the mission to provide our customers with the best possible solutions supporting their aftermarket business. Diagnostic Engineering is a group function innovating, developing, maintaining and delivering Diagnostic Service Based Solutions for Volvo products on the aftermarket. Our deliveries entail diagnostic tool platforms and content exemplified in Tech Tool and diagnostic information like Guided Diagnostics and Operations.
In Gothenburg, our diagnostic teams today consists of approx. 80 highly competent and engaged colleagues working together with Group IT and diagnostic and systems teams for supporting workshop technicians around the globe.

Who are you?
We believe that you have a genuine interest of the technical domain embedded SW, you are self-sufficient and self-motivated. We also believe you have experience in agile ways of working and are proficient in presentation techniques. In addition to this, you are customer and end-user oriented and has excellent networking skills. We can offer you the opportunity to be one of our key persons to drive the next generation of diagnostic solutions for the future.
Your responsibility will be to drive the work with the next generation of diagnostics within the diagnostics section. This will make you an important player in the technical transition for the future Diagnostic Service Based Solutions. The diagnostic section is a global function and it will be beneficial to have previous experience from leading cross-functional teams and to have worked within a global environment.
Qualifications
• MSc within Engineering Physics or Computer Science
• Programming skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications
• General knowledge and experience in Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow
• Knowledge of CAE tools such as MSc Adams, GTSuite, Modelica
• Knowledge of SAX (simple API for XML), DOM (Document Object Model) and STYLUS
• Interest in visualisation and modelling tools such as Blender and Unity
• Knowledge of Vehicle and powertrain modelling, mechatronic systems
• SAFe agile or similar experience within agile development
