The purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise and knowledge of offshore units within the areas of Instrumental Design to ensure successful projects, carry out instrument related tasks as well as provide support and assistance through mentoring others and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities and Tasks
• Plan, lead and execute project tasks in the area of Instrumental design of ship and offshore units in accordance to classification rules, primary DNV and ABS societies.
• Plan, lead and carry out Block diagram for Utility and HVAC systems to comply with project specifications and class requirements.
• Plan, lead and perform Performing Instrumental calculations and design in AutoCAD, INtools, PDMS and/or Aveva Marine.
• Plan, lead and perform arrangement of system and control rooms and develop concept, regular project and mechanical completion.
Qualifications and Experience
• B.Sc or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture.
• 10 years experience of Electrical design and 2 years within offshore industry.
• Well developed knowledge in the area of Block diagrams for Utility, HVAC and Emergency Shutdown systems, practical experience is required.
• Well developed knowledge of Instrument design within 2D and 3D design and of instrument and engineering database.
• Proven track record of AutoCAD, INtools, PDMS and/or Aveva Marine software.
• Proven track record of producing accurate and well written technical reports.
• Knowledge about ship and offshore rules concerning the DNV and ABS classification societies, practical experience is required and experience from working at a shipyard or a construction site is an advantage.
• Previous experience from working in a supervisor or team leader role.
• Fluent and effective oral and written communication skills in English are required. Swedish and additional language skills are an advantage
