GKN ePowertrain are looking for a Principal Engineer that will take over the responsibilities being the first point of contact to our costumer in Gothenburg and to be the one driving our projects forward.
About the job
As a Principal Engineer you will work with our products and program plans in a strategic way towards the customer. You will be the first point of contact and lead the platform engineering interface. The Principal Engineer is involved throughout the entire lifecycle of the product and is responsible to ensure a proper and effective way of communication between the customer and the GKN sites globally. This means that you will represent GKN and our product throughout the lifecycle, provide full engineering support to product launch teams involved in the launch of a product for a vehicle platform and to manufacturing development teams when it comes to change programs i.e.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the platform engineering interface with the customer
• Lead product application engineering
• Define and obtain agreement for the program plan( targets, time, resource requirements and structure)
• Manage and deliver vehicle platform programs in accordance with both costumer APQP and Driveline CAPM deliverables activities and procedures
• Provide product selection recommendations
• Ensure the delivery of data and design to support all relevant Value Analysis and Value Engineering activities within the account team

About you
To be successful in this position we believe that you have at least a B.Sc. in engineering and a solid experience from working in an engineering development team, preferable within the powertrain field.
As a person you are comfortable working independently in an fast moving environment. You are communicative and you do not hesitate to make a decision in your strive to make things move forward in an effective way. You appreciate a position that involves a lot of collaboration and where you can use your strategic thinking and business acumen.
