hela Sverige The International School has grown every year since it opened in 2000 and has a current population of 105 students. Situated in Älmhult in southern Sweden it is a state school with support from Ikea of Sweden for the teacher's professional development. The local area, which has a population of approx. 15 000, is peaceful and situated in an attractive area with nearby lakes and forests. The provincial town of Växjö is easily reached by either rail or road, as are other large cities in the region and the Continent. The school was authorised for The International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Programme in May 2003 and for The Middle Years Programme in May 2009. The school is international and has a friendly atmosphere. The classes are small and all teaching is in English. We will be moving to newly renovated premises in August.
Publiceringsdatum2011-05-23ArbetsuppgifterWe now have 2-3 positions for Primary teachers available for the coming school year, one of which is working with 4-5 year-olds. We are looking for energetic, positive staff members to join our international team, starting in the beginning of August.
KvalifikationerProfessional qualifications:
• A fully qualified Primary Teacher qualification for the teaching of reading and writing in English is a requirement.
• Experience of teaching reading in the first year of school/reception class is a strong merit for one position.
• Experience and a special needs qualification for behaviour, reading and writing is essential for one position.
• Experience/ training in the IBO's PYP is a merit and an interest to teach according to the programme essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a strong sense of integrity are a requirement.
Arbetstider och omfattningHeltid. Tull-time or part-time Tillsvidareanställning, tillträde: 2011-08-08 Starting on August 1st or 8th 2011. Permanent contract.
ErsättningMonthly salary. Individual salary rate.
