We offer
As a Portfolio Data Scientist in the QA team you will use your programming and problem-solving skills to define, design and implement analysis and insight tools, converting data to communicated insights. You will support members of the QA team to analyze data and work actively to identify, model, solve, visualize, and deploy insight requests for key areas of Verisure portfolio.
Your role will be both strategic and hands-on development and implementation. You will be using your scientific knowledge and engineering skills to prepare data from multiple sources into aggregated data sets, and to analyze large volumes of complex data. You will work and experiment with the data using machine learning and data mining technologies as well as classical statistics.
You will work in collaboration with other scientists and engineers across Verisure to model, design, and build creative analytics solutions (on prem and in cloud) to serve the needs of the North QA team. You will present, communicate and share your insights and learning. You will consult other teams and functions to formulate the right questions with regard to what value machine learning and AI can add in a given situation.
You will be based in Malmö at our biggest Technology Hub, our bright and open office space is just a 5-minute walk from the Central Station. The position reports to the Manager of the North QA team.
Key deliverable
You will complement our skilled, curious and humble quality assurance team on analytical topics incl., hypothesis testing, anomaly detection, large data analysis, creation of reports/ dashboards, data-driven portfolio improvement programs, etc.
You will be a key support for the QA team to actively monitor performance of the product in the field, creating and leveraging data dashboards for key incoming issues from operations teams in the countries
Additionally, you will suggest corrective actions in the case they are needed and maintain a set of pro-active suggestions to be implemented to improve portfolio performance
What you bring
You have a degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or related area in which statistics and complex analysis are core skills.
Experience working as a data scientist or in a data analyst role will be a plus (esp., experience working within the analytics chain: from raw data, data analysis and feature engineering, to stable, deployed models using which end users make better decisions).
You are comfortable working with classical statistics (hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, recognizing classical distributions, etc.). You have experience of data analysis tools on a daily basis, such as R, SQL, or similar.
PowerBI knowledge will be highly valuable as you will be also working on the presentation/ reporting layer.
