Vattenfall is Europe's fifth largest electricity generator and the largest producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Benelux and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Business Division Renewables is responsible for wind power and biomass. Investments in wind power is an important cornerstone to deliver our road map and we plan, build and own wind farms in five countries, onshore and offshore. Investment in biomass fuel is key to further reduce the emissions. We have about 330 employees.We are now looking for a Portfolio Analyst to support BD Renewables across all our investment activities. In the role as Portfolio analyst you will be a key resource in the analysis and modeling of BD Renewables asset and development portfolio; you will ensure that BD Renewables have a structured and consistent portfolio management. You will report directly to the BD Renewables CFO and work in close interaction with other stakeholders particularly the BD Renewables Portfolio Manager.
Job description
• Preparing portfolio analyses on Business Division Renewables asset- and development portfolio
• Support in development of processes and instructions relating to portfolio management
• Support in development of processes and instructions in follow-up of Investments
• Support during annual investment planning process with consolidation, analysis and ranking and of individual investment plans/proposals
• Participation in/or leading ad-hoc projects related to Portfolio- and Risk management
• Prepare management presentations/memos to facilitate higher management decisions
Qualifications
The successful candidate holds a post-graduate degree in economics, finance or engineering, witha minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience including financial modelling/investment analysis/asset management. Fluency in English is a prerequisite.
We are looking for a person with:
• Strong determination to deliver results
• Experience gained within the energy utility sector and an understanding of energy assets & markets.
• Ability to manage workload and to prioritise between competing requirements
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, seeing the whole and the details, with a structured way of working.
• Very good MS Excel and PowerPoint skills (programming experience considered a plus)
