Volvo Cars has successfully launched a cutting edge Driver Interaction and Infotainment system, and is committed to continuous success.
Infotainment is currently in the process of an agile transformation where the focus will be on delivering a high quality driver information and infotainment system. One important step in this transformation is to continue expanding our efforts in validating the whole infotainment system. Work with validation, you ask questions like: Did we get the system we had in mind? How will our customers perceive this? Can we sell this? (As opposed to verification where the question is "Does this work according to specification?")
You will be part of our four person PKI team. (PKI is Complete Infotainment Validation) As part of the team, you will spend a lot of time in vehicle and on expeditions validating our system. You will also participate in user studies and closely cooperate with the Digital User Experience team (DUX). You are expected to make your voice heard and give your utter most to make our infotainment systems the best in the world.
Main responsibilities
* Perform cross-functional validation of complete Infotainment system and its HMI
* Review HMI ideas/solutions in early project stages and suggest improvements
* Perform delivery- and/or regression-tests of new SW-deliveries in vehicle
* Plan and execute cross-functional expeditions, both virtual and in real vehicles
* Provide information/"highlight" summary from benchmarking
* Perform method- and process development for PKI
Required qualifications
* You have minimum a B.Sc. in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
* You have documented experience of Automotive and Infotainment
* You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
* You have a valid driver's license
