We are now looking for operation buyer for Steering Systems for an international company within the automotive industry during 6 months located in Gothenburg.
The assignment means that you will be employed by Experis as a part of our successful team with purchasing consultants.
Mission
Your main challenges are mostly related to cost improvement. To succeed on this commodity that is a difficult area, it requires strategic thinking, tactical expertise and proven track record in negotiation.
As an Operations Buyer you are a part with other buyer roles in the commodity team and will report to Purchasing manager. Your task is to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and preform QDCF optimization in serial production such as:
• Launch actions to find cost savings opportunities on top of existing contracts (cost workshop, supplier switches:)
• Follow supplier's Quality and Delivery performance
• Manage risk mitigation and crisis activities
• Develop improvement strategy to create the purchasing leverage
• Secure purchasing deliverables for Maintenance projects / intro blocks
Qualification
We believe that you have an University degree in Business, Engineering or related field with initial experience in purchasing and/or extensive negotiation experience in supplier/customer relationship
To succeed in this role, you have great negotiating skills, strategic thinking, tactical expertise and a target oriented approach. Further, you are positive, a strong team player with willingness to share best practice and learn from others. You are fluent in English both spoken and written and can occasionally travel.
