During 15 intense and exciting months, the program will give you a holistic view of the Volvo Group's global truck manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end to end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations.
In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several "on-the-job" rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.
Position - Manufacturing Technology Specialist (MTS) - ESW Tools and Systems

GTO Quality & Engineering - Manufacturing Technology and Competence Area
Our responsibilities are to define Master Processes based on defined best practices in all areas except Powertrain.
We drive Volvo Operations Concept (VOC) for Product and Production Processes to reach operational excellence targets at GTO. We consist of the following teams: Research &Technology Development, CAST (Common Architecture Shared Technology), QE Technical Preparation Bangalore and three Technology Teams, SW&EE Technology, CFA Technology and Cab Technology. We work in global networks together with GTT, plants and Process and IT to secure manufacturing requirements, support implementation and to drive continuous improvement.

GTO SW&EE Technology team consists of 21 highly engaged colleagues with very good gender balance and age span situated in Sweden, France and Belgium. Our main target is to secure and develop the manufacturing process globally within Embedded Software and Electrical assembly covering Europe, Asia and America.
We define and drive strategies for both products and processes to improve the quality, cost, efficiency and flexibility. We are also responsible to secure IT- System needs, hardware and equipment development and to develop and support the growing competence needs ahead. Our focus is both on existing product and processes and on
Industry 4.0 and the new technologies related to Electromobility, Connectivity and Vehicle Automation.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Your responsibility will be to analyses impacts and opportunities for our IT production Tools and systems based on the product evolution, Industry 4.0 drivers and our customer needs. This to develop and secure the ESW production process alignment and efficiency globally.
As a Manufacturing Technology Specialist with in the ESW area one important task will be to work on translating the product evolution into system and tool requirements and solutions. The work will be done together with members from your team and in global networks with different stakeholders within Group Trucks Operations and Group Trucks Technologies.
The networks act as both an arena to build knowledge and understanding but also as forums to drive actions and questions to be able to capture the important aspects to continuously improve our processes.

Who are you?
To be successful in this role we think you will need the following qualifications and skills:
A MSc or BSc degree within Mechatronics or Electronics with focus on IS/IT Systems and Tools within the Embedded area.
You enjoy focusing on the details and see your future career as a specialist
Solid English skills.
To be a communicative team player with the ambition to develop both yourself and the business that you are working in.
Knowledge within the automotive industry is a merit.
