Operational monitoring and systems evaluation of JAS 39 Gripen from a global perspective
Your workplace
Support and Services, a business area of Saab, supplies a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in defence and on commercial markets for cost-efficient support of systems and platforms throughout their life cycle.
The Technical Support department within the Aircraft Services division provides support to civil and military customers for the products Saab 340, Saab 2000, SK60 and Gripen.
The area Technical Engineering and Fleet Monitoring – Military works with operational monitoring and systems evaluation and provides support to customers and users by processing and investigating customer complaints. The majority of the work concerns the JAS 39 Gripen product but the area also performs tasks relating to the SK60 aircraft. The work is frequently performed in close cooperation with other parts of Saab, and with customers and users.
We are currently looking for a person to work with operational monitoring, systems evaluation and analysis primarily for the JAS 39 Gripen.
Your role
The role of operational analyst means processing, reviewing and classifying events that have occurred, from an aircraft safety perspective, during operation of JAS 39 Gripen aircraft in Sweden, the Czech Republic, Hungary, South Africa, and in future also in Thailand. The data is to be used for trend analysis as well as to report how the product performs in during operation and to ensure that requirements are met.
The role requires a great deal of contact, mainly within Saab, with Materiel Group Managers, Equipment Engineers and Maintenance Engineers. There are also contacts with customers in Sweden and in other countries.
Your qualifications
We are looking for an outgoing person with ability to make connections. You find it easy to cooperate with others in projects. But you can also work independently to process data, perform analyses and present results. You are precise and analytical. You are aware of how tools such as Excel or Access can be used to analyse and compile information.
Broad knowledge of aircraft in general and military aircraft and peripheral operations in particular is advantageous. You can express yourself well, in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
