Vattenfall IT Infrastructure Services (VIS) is the internal provider of IT infrastructure services for the entire Vattenfall Group. It is an international shared service centre, providing efficient and reliable IT services and support to the whole Vattenfall Group. About 500 people in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Poland and Sweden work for VIS.
Network Engineer
Main responsibilities
The Network department is responsible for managing the basis infrastructure foundation for data communication and voice. The team assignments include operative vendor management for solution that is outsourced. The team will also work as project members in projects related to the technology area.
Area of technology includes network technology such as WAN, LAN, MAN, Wireless and equipment such as Routers, Switches, LAN Cabling and WAN links. Network registration services such as DHCP, Internal DNS, WINS, QoS, Routing and NAC. IP address management is also included.
In the role of network engineer, you will work to maintain and develop Vattenfall’s computer network.
Qualifications
This position requires that the engineer can autonomously troubleshoot and fix problems. Certification for the use of network equipment is a merit. You must be well-versed in operating large networks consisting of a great number of sites connected via WAN. Good written and spoken English is a must. The position requires strong skills in documenting change suggestions and performed network changes.
Location: Stockholm, Råcksta. Working in an international organisation requires frequent travel.
