2 year Trainee Program - We are searching for intellectually curious analysts who are looking to start a career in our Young Professionals Program as a Software Developer.

We are looking for intellectually curious and ambitious recent college graduates that want to develop their careers in an innovative, fast paced international environment. Nasdaq 's Young Professional Program is a comprehensive two year professional development program built on top of a full time role designed to build a strong talent pipeline through experiential, Nasdaq-specific business opportunities. This will be our 3rd class of Professionals so some of the spefics are subject to change based on feedback; however past elements of the program are soft skills training, technical skills training, seminars and other events with focus on agile working methods, job shadowing and international role hops. After the two year program, our participants walk away with the skills and tools necessary to advance their careers and contribute to teams in a place where the opportunities are endless and within your reach.

You will work in a team with highly motivated and skilled programmers, business analysts and test engineers in an international and dynamic environment. As a Software Developer you will be integrally involved in meeting our challenge to develop robust high quality software, with ever increasing requirements on performance and functionality.

Software Developer Responsibilities:
Develop tests and debug software tools and utilities, with the guidance of experienced managers
Provides technical support in a defined project with the support of other managers
Develops program logic for new applications or analyses and modifies logic in existing applications, often learning on the job from more senior colleagues as size of the challenge increases
Modifies existing internal software products to add new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability alongside other senior team members

Education, Professional accomplishments and certifications:
2018 graduate of a bachelor / master degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems and or Industrial Management (or equivalent field)
Demonstrated Extra-Curricular Achievements/Leadership (active in a club, volunteering, etc.)
Prior Internship experience is a strong plus

Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
Knowledge of Java
Prior Internship is a plus
Driven and ambitious
Excellent Communication Skills
