Your mission

As a Motion Control Engineer, your mission will be to greatly support the R&D team in its journey to deliver the best and most innovative motion control systems for underground loaders and trucks. This includes areas like, electrification, zero emissions, safety, automation and performance.

The work is mostly conducted in projects and you will, together with a team of competent colleagues, be the R&D's representative regarding motion control systems in new product and technology development projects. Improvements of existing products is also an important area of responsibility. Goals and targets will be achieved via a continuous dialogue with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers. There will be a high focus on innovation, both from technical perspective and working methods, in order to increase efficiency and speed of development. Control logic and algorithm development with a model-based approach will be a major part of this role.

Your profile

To be successful in this role, you should have an analytical approach, a system-oriented mindset and a relevant educational background preferably combined with working experience in the motion control area. Knowledge in mechatronics, control engineering, and understanding of software is beneficial.

You are innovative, open-minded and have a strong customer focus. Good collaboration skills are necessary since a large portion of the work will be in collaboration with other teams, departments and suppliers. A good understanding of power distribution components characteristics, simulation and control algorithm tools and experience from rapid control prototyping in the lab and on-vehicle testing is of high value.

Experience in hydraulics or other types of power distribution systems in mobile equipment is meritorious.

Location and travel

This position is located in Örebro, Sweden and can be performed in a hybrid way. The exact split between on-site and remote work is up to further agreement. In case a candidate from a different country applies and is successful, Swedish local terms and conditions will apply.
