The position is an exciting role which provides ample opportunity to work within a fast growing global engineering organization. You will play a key role for Powertrain to achieve the mission. You will also be overall responsible for the development of systems and components in a cross functional team. Mostly you enjoy being part of a great team. The module team consists of System Managers, System Engineers, Design Engineers and CAD engineers.
The position is based in Gothenburg but with a Global responsibility cross Sweden and China.
Responsibilities and task
• Managing and developing the team
• Setting objectives for the team as well as organize so the team accomplish tasks and goals
• Leading the development of concept and system solutions towards the different projects for all systems and components within the module team
• Developing and lead the module team globally in as the responsible line manager
• Developing and functionally lead the work, both in Gothenburg and in Hangzhou (Cevt China).
• Building up and long-term secure the needed competence, capacity and working processes within the area.
• Execute releases and change management during the whole lifecycle for own modules and systems
• Keeping commonality across different projects
• Project management of specific tasks across the engineering function area
Requirements
• BSc. or M.Sc.
• 10 years’ experience of automotive development
• Relevant experience of the specific modules and systems
• Knowledge about trends and applicability of new technologies
• Experience of project management
• Experience from leading an Engineering team, either in a line or a project role.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to encourage and manage employees with a multicultural background
• Analytical and able to see problems as challenges and look for solutions
• Experience of people management
• Ability to drive, motivate and convince
• Driven, independent problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
• Persistency to pursue targets and take decisions
• A creative and curious mind
• Fluency in English, both oral and written
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture
• Ability to travel
