Job description:
Our unit is responsible for mechanical solutions in microwave radio networks.
You will take part in the whole design process, where your expertise will guide and support our designers. You will be responsible for architectural choices and building practice issues mainly regarding our indoor mechanics for microwave radio link equipment. An important part of the role includes driving common building practice issues towards other products within Ericsson.
Our world-class microwave products MINI-LINK and Marconi LH need constant upgrading and we are looking for a creative and innovative mechanical system designer who can help us prepare for future demands. In return, you will gain experience in an international environment full of challenges that will inspire you to develop and grow.
Competence:
We believe you are enthusiastic about mechanical design, and have a keen ear for customer needs. You understand the need for cost efficient solutions and have the drive to actively work with improvements. A strong analytical capability and ability to see the bigger picture are two of your strong characteristics and you have excellent presentation and communication skills.
You work well independently but are also a team player focused on achieving results on time and with high quality. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and skills with your colleagues and you enjoy taking the lead and showing direction in technical matters.
You should also have:
• A relevant MSc or similar
• At least three years of work experience as a mechanical system designer preceded by several years as a mechanical designer
• Good knowledge of climate and environmental issues (temperature, shock and vibration)
• Excellent written and spoken English
