hela Sverige The Materials laboratory in Finspong is responsible for development of new materials to be used in the MGT product range. Within the materials laboratory a wide range of different tasks are undertaken and the lab is equipped with world class machinery and equipment to conduct non destructive testing, mechanical testing, failure analysis and other tasks critical to the gas turbine business.
What are my responsibilities?
As part of the materials laboratory team, you will work with:
• life time assessments
• failure analysis
• technical support during qualification of our suppliers
Your daily tasks will include for example sample preparation and metallographic examination.
You will be working in collaboration with service, R&D and procurement.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
• Minimum B.Sc. degree or relevant experience from material sciences
• Strong analytical skills and quality focus
• Be driven, dedicated and goal-oriented
• Good ability to work with multiple tasks at the same time.
• Good ability to take initiative, make contacts and co-operate within the company as well as with external partners
• Good skills level in English
