Global Customer Service is responsible for the development & delivery of world class and innovative Products, Services & Processes for the global Volvo Aftermarket business. Together with the Sales Regions, Sales Companies and dealers, the ambition of Customer Service is to make the Volvo car ownership experience the best in class.
The section Technical Support is responsible for developing and implementing efficient, market oriented and pro-active Support, Competences, Products, Systems and Workshop Concepts.
We are looking for a Market Support Engineer Propulsion. In this role you are expected to be involved in the Technical Support to the aftermarket when it comes to engines, transmissions and Hybrid related issues in all our car models. You will have cross functional work together with test departments, Engineering etc. The work is done in order to solve issues in the aftermarket and support in technical questions.
Technical Support Propulsion & Complete Vehicle, belongs to Technical Service & Support within Global Customer Service. The department is active within the Current Model Quality process. This team consist of 12 persons.
The role is to be the interface between the markets and Volvo Cars Corporation's Current Model Quality Improvement organization in both directions. Product deviation information from the market and Service- and Production solutions out to the markets.
Your main tasks as a Market Support Engineer Propulsion:
* Handle Powertrain/Propulsion support requests from the market and Helpdesk centres by assisting in fault tracing and repairs of single cars via dialogue and answers in TIE (Technical Information Exchange) Vehicle reports.
* Initiate/maintain flawless communication with product technical staff in the market/sales companies.
* Find answers to support requests by

* Scope: All Volvo products, all time in dealer/customer service.
* Redirect and assign all Vehicle information reports to responsible PFU (Product Follow Up).
* Handle all Support reports from the market and Help Desk centers by assisting in fault tracing and repairs of single cars via:
+ Dialogue and answers in Vehicle Reports (VR).
+ Remote takeover to diagnose or download software in cars by remote.
* Secure the achievement of the targets set for Support reports in TIE.
* Support Product Follow Up (PFU) in remote data collection.
* Provide the markets with technical information; service solutions and repair instructions within settled targets.
* Initiate/maintain communication with PFU and other product investigation staff.
* Report/communicate developments and trends regarding support requests to department manager and responsible PFU.
* Representing Technical Support at technical conferences world wide.
Profile
Qualifications:
* Senior High School Technical orientation
* Technical work experience from Volvo Cars: Quality, Product & Quality, Manufacturing, Customer Service
* Good knowledge in Volvo Cars working process/procedures
* Excellent technical vehicle competence within the Powertrain/Propulsion area
* Good knowledge in MS Office applications
* Good knowledge in systems like QW90, TIE (Technical Information Exchange), Lotus Notes and VIDA (Vehicle Information and Diagnostics for Aftersales) is a merit.
* Fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
* Technical fault tracing competence in vehicles is a merit.
