In the role as Manufacturing Excellence Specialist, the main focus is to support and coach Avesta Operations in the implementation of Manufacturing Excellence strategies and focus areas with the goal to streamline and improve within operations. The role involves a close collaboration with the responsible plant and stakeholder management to ensure an equal/harmonized way of working.
Responsibilities:
Be the local expert and role model for the Manufacturing Excellence tools
Support and contribute to the development of the improvement work within Avesta Operations through process control and implementation of the Manufacturing Excellence tools including 5S
Drive the process and work to identify improvements in the business and implement Outokumpu Production System (OPI)
Train employees in Manufacturing Excellence tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN
Participates in various relevant networks and participates in Outokumpu's global network for Manufacturing Excellence
Drive and lead improvement projects
Follow up ongoing improvement projects and coach other project managers for progress
Qualifications:
Master's degree of engineering focused in mechanical, material, manufacturing, industrial economics or equivalent
Previous experience working in similar role or industry/production is advantage
Six Sigma and/or LEAN certifications is highly valued
Project management and willingness to lead continuous improvement projects
You thrive by innovation and have a proactive mindset, with capacity to be systematic and have a helicopter perspective
Very good ability to communicate, cooperate & coach colleagues and stakeholders
Fluent in Swedish and English (written & verbal) is required
