We currently have the following job opening;
Manufacturing Engineer, Body Exterior
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for feasibility input to Research & Development (R&D) based on manufacturing requirements and a ?Generic build sequence?, this to create a robust assembly process by Process Driven Product Design. The work will be carried out cross functional with the R&D departments and the industrialization project team for the green field plants in LuQiao and Zhangjiakou in China.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Lead and coordinates manufacturing process activities in PD within responsible area.
• Describe and visualizes assembly methods and issue PII:s (Process and Inspection Instructions) in Team Center PPA (physical builds).
• Develops efficient (man hour & layout) and ergonomic work methods.
• Update of local manufacturing engineering systems and inputs to steering system for production control.
• Plans in detail specifies functions and Needs for equipment in cooperation with tooling
• Identifies needs of error proofing/quality assurance systems.
• Reporting status and deviations in systems / tools and ensure that there are action plans to reach target.
Requirements
• Technical competence at senior high school / university level or similar.
• Relevant experience from manufacturing engineering within the automotive area.
• Practical experience of the production process.
• Experience of virtual verification and 3d-tool
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of FMEA Ability to lead and coordinate.
• Skilled in communication and collaboration.
• Flexible and Result oriented
• Analytical and systematic.
• Ability to manage complexity, priorities and deliver on time.
• Positive and proacvtive attitude.
• Strong ability for cross functional and multicultural teamwork
