Swedish Match (part of Philip Morris International) is looking to hire Manufacturing Cost Controlling Lead to support our manufacturing operations in Gothenburg and Kungälv.
This role is a temporary assignment with a duration of 12 months, based in our factory in Gothenburg.
The role is pivotal in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making within our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will manage activities in Controlling, Forecasting, Reporting, and actuals vs. forecast accuracy for Manufacturing Cost, acting as a global E2E process expert.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect assumptions, prepare, consolidate, and endorse OB&RF submissions to the global finance team aligned with agreed targets.
- Provide monthly analysis of actuals vs. forecast, including commentary on variances.
- Report actuals and perform variance analysis against Original Budget/Rolling Forecast.
- Conduct standard financial analysis within the assigned cost category.
- Monitor key performance indicators within the assigned cost category.
- Develop controlling insights around trends and tools that meet the needs of business partners.
- Provide proactive improvement ideas for working controls to bring more efficiency into processes, including SOX.
- Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for Finance Business Partners on specific topics.
- Support the month-end close process with accrual calculation and posting.
- Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Ensure timely submission of forecasts/actual data into reporting systems.
- Coordinate with other functions to ensure accurate data collection.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving processes.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance & Economics, or Finance.
- 3-5 years of experience in Financial Controlling, Cost Controlling, Financial Analysis, or similar roles.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; experience working with factories is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills are required.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
