Description
Are you ready to take on a challenging role as Shipping Manager within Tetra Pak and develop a new shipping process and organization?
As Shipping Manager you will be responsible for safety, cost, quality, delivery performance and continuous improvements in shipping function for in & outbound deliveries as well as inbound milkrun. You will manage and develop shared services for the unit, lead and develop organization, people and processes in areas of responsibility.
You will be based in Lund, reporting to the Manager of Production Logistics and Services (PLS) within Tetra Pak.The role requires some travelling both regionally and globally, depending on load about 30 days/year.
Main responsibilities
• Full staff responsibility including competencies development, performance reviews and recruitment
• Participate in PLS management team, budget, target and capacity setting
• Secure daily deliveries of Machines - On Time In Full with Quality
• Continuously improve the Tetra Pak Production System - Shipping
• Develop and manage a "Logistic Control Tower" to ensure efficient inbound flow of material, modules and filling machines to TP premises and within the factory and for outbound flow until point of shipping to final destination
• Develop and manage routines and standards for cargo care
• Drive and develop shipping support tools and processes in order to deliver efficient planning, time reporting and quality data collection
• Develop and manage external resources and contacts with suppliers and external partners
• Participate in logistic, procurement, general sub-contracting agreements and appendix definitions
Qualifications
We believe that you have a solid technical educational background within logistics. Since you will have frequent contacts both with customers and suppliers excellent communication skills and command of English, both written and verbal, is mandatory. You have at least 5 years of experience from leadership and working with shipping, logistics and material control.
To succeed in the position you have demonstrated excellent communication, team building and stakeholder management skills with a proven track-record of achievement. You are an excellent driver and a team player, capable of using informal authority to motivate people and to influence at all levels in the organization.
