Many of today 's societal challenges are expected to be solved by technology development and the Volvo Group is investing heavily in Research and Development (RnD). In order to fully leverage our R&D investments, it is necessary to strengthen the alignment of the innovation, technology and regulatory agendas to prepare our organization for the future.
Through internal and external collaboration, the CTO Office is instrumental to the Volvo Group in order to drive the innovation, technology & regulatory agendas, assure technology partnerships & research collaborations and to guide our future transformation.
We are a global support to the Volvo Group CTO operating with the aim to further strengthen the Volvo Group position and competitiveness. We are organized within Volvo Group Trucks Technology. The team you will join consists of highly engaged people around the world with different backgrounds and perspectives, a fantastic workplace to join.
We are looking for a manager for "Regulatory management and Volvo Group positions" located in Göteborg
In this role you will be driving the management of securing position statements in policy and regulatory areas of strategic importance for the Volvo Group with focus on vehicle technology and transport solutions.
You will be accountable for the internal development and anchoring of Volvo Group regulatory and policy position statements and to map, evaluate and initiate external advocacy ecosystems.
Together with the team you will secure Volvo Group visibility as trusted and reliable stakeholder in policy and regulatory developments world wide.
You will report to the VP "Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs".
Main responsibilities are:
Manage Volvo Group representation in trade association's world wide
Secure Volvo Group representatives in external working groups are sufficiently trained
Manage Regulatory Management Committee cross functionally
Support experts in developing and proposing Volvo Group Position Statements
Manage collaboration with regulatory experts in different part of the organization
Manage collaboration with Volvo Group Public Affairs and representation offices
Secure Volvo Group visibility as a trusted and reliable stakeholder in policy and regulatory developments
Secure close collaboration with the full CTO Office organization

You have significant experience from working in global multicultural business environments.

You have previous successful experiences in leading cross-functional activities and you are interested to expand your network internal as well as external.
Qualification
Min 10 years work experience in both engineering and regulatory systems related to automotive policies and regulations.
Proven track record of formulating "Position statements" related to policies/regulations.
Sharp strategic thinking, judgement and analytical skills.
Proven capability to understand the impact of new policies/regulations.
Structured with a holistic mindset.
Proven track record of initiating and driving regulatory advocacy from idea generation and monitoring of society intentions, to setting and anchoring clear position statements, to setting strategies for outreach and lobbying, to securing Volvo Group awareness and readiness.
Demonstrated successful performance in understanding and thriving in complex policy making environments globally.
Significant experience from globally working in multicultural business environments as well as with a wide menu of society stakeholders.
The role requires an agile and networked based team player style, open mindset and passion to deliver value for our customers as well as for society at large.
Proven track record in establishing successful relationships with external stakeholders. This includes collaborations with industry partners, governmental authorities and agencies, politicians, NGO's, Academia, trade associations and society key opinion leaders.
