Prototype Center, Skövde is a part of Powertrains Test Objects organisation within Research & Development. Our task is based on given specifications deliver prototype engines and engine components to both internal and external customers. In Skövde we have a prototype facility located within the production factory. The work involve close cooperation with Powertrain and Purchase in Gothenburg, Manufacturing in Skövde, Volvo China and suppliers all over the world.
Since our current Manager for the Prototype Center in Skövde will retire, we are now looking for his successor that can lead and develop the team to become "Best In Class". As Manager you will lead the team of 12 skilled employees covering; Task Leader, Prototype engineer of the 5C (cylinder block, cylinder head, crankshaft, camshaft, conrod), Supply Chain Controller, Material Handling, Logistic, Storage and Controller. You are also responsible for the budget, secure competence development and being part of the Powertrain Test objects management team. We are looking for someone with strong decision making ability, high technical competence and hands-on ability to lead this team. You have the ability to come up with fast solutions when necessary and a strong strategic mindset to make proactive changes of our processes and working methods. Main responsibilities
• Lead, build and develop the team to become a world class global Prototype Center
• Plan and manage the daily activities of the organisation and secure deliveries
• Improve methods and processes to meet future demands and company goals
• Secure present and future resource and competence demands
• Being an active and contributing member of Powertrain Test objects management team
• Manage the interaction with R&D and Manufactoring to secure and optimise deliveries
Required qualifications
• B.Sc. degree in either engineering, logistic, production, technology or several years of equivalent relevant work experience
• At least 3-4 years of People management experience in a technical environment
• Experience from processing engine parts, production technology and logistic is meritorious
• Fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
• Driver's license (B-level)

• Communicative and a great team player
