Product Development Unit Radio (PDU Radio) drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson's radio products and solutions. We are a global organization, within Engineering Unit Hardware (EU HW), of approximately 4,000 engineers and developers collaborating across ten sites in Canada, China and Sweden to drive Ericsson's strategy of securing our technology- and market leadership in radio.
Prototyping and Production Technology, PPT belongs to PDU Radio. We manufacture prototypes to support product- and production test development. We are also a competence centre in production and producibility technology and material analysis. In addition, we are producing various equipment for design tests, exhibitions and more.
The team consists of independent and senior team members located in Kista and Kumla.
About this role
We are looking for a Manager for PBA Prototyping in Kista.
The PBA Prototyping section produces and modifies PBA (Printed Board Assemblies). Most work is done in our SMA lines (Surface Mount Assembly), but we do manual assemblies as well. The equipment is up to date to support various kind of products in small series. Optical inspections and X-Ray are regularly used. In addition to normal production equipment we use vapor phase ovens, solder paste jet dispenser, ball attach assembly, warpage measurement equipment.
The section consists of engineers and high skilled workers, employees and consultants. A team leader handles the operations. The team collaborates with production planners, development engineers and material handlers from other teams.
An important task for the manager is to maintain the high standard of the team, the self-leadership and the engagement. Micromanagement of daily tasks must not take place.
As a member of PPT leadership team it's encouraged to take an active role to drive the unit towards our goals. A multidisciplinary view, considering what is best for Ericsson is key.

Qualification & Skill Requirements
Shown leadership skills are a must
Ability to set, communicate and implement strategy is needed
Coaching & Mentoring Skills
Experience in electronic production or electronic product development is preferred
Experience in prototype production or volume production in general is preferred
Relevant university education
Proficient in English
An ambition to learn Swedish
