Do you want to work in a challenging environment? We are continuing our work to create a global Group Reporting & Accounting department and we are looking for an experienced Manager for the Operations Accounting team. The Operations Accounting manager is responsible for the accounting transactions and accounting processes in VCC. The position has three direct reporting group managers responsible for the Accounts Payables/Receivables, Material Cost and Sales Accounting and Financial Reporting teams, in total 25 employees. The majority of the transactional services are performed by an external business service provider where currently approximately 120 people are working with finance and accounting services from Chennai, India.
The Operations Accounting team has extensive contacts with the different functions in PVAB, the outsourcing service provider as well as other external parties.
Main responsibilities:
Process owner of Accounting processes within the area of responsibility for Sweden, including also Belgium, European NSCs as well as US and Canada for certain processes
Through monitoring and guiding, lead and drive the "Volvo Team" in India who perform the daily operational work
Secure adherence of local legal requirements, accounting policies as well as VCC Financial Manual
Represent Operations Reporting in different projects and project lead for minor projects within area of responsibility
Secure quality and drive for efficiency and improvements in processes and organization
Drive for operational excellence in all activities
Qualification and Profile:
Business degree or similar in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 10 years experience in Finance, Accounting and Business Administration
Key Competences:
Senior Management experience and highly developed management skills
Excellent communication / people management skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Good analytical skills
Integrity, curiosity, courage and change management mindset
Process overview ability and holistic view
Customer oriented
Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
