Do you have the expertise to navigate the complexities of public funding and the vision to manage projects that shape the digitalization landscape? At the forefront of environmental and technological advancement, we are seeking a dynamic Manager to join our dedicated team. This role is not just about managing projects; it's about being at the heart of innovation, fostering sustainability, and guiding businesses from diverse sectors on their journey to net-zero and beyond. If you're ready to make a significant impact and drive change, we invite you to help us expand our practice and leave a lasting mark on the world.
Your role as Manager within Grants & Incentives
In this role, you will engage with our diverse clientele, ranging from technical experts and scientific innovators to engineering professionals, as well as business leaders and C-suite executives across various industries. By understanding our clients' projects, business models and footprint, you will work closely with funding bodies to help our clients further fund their innovation roadmap and sustainability objectives. We work daily with leading projects in areas such as clean hydrogen, renewable energy technologies, biobased materials, novel methods and business models for recycling as well as digital infrastructure, cyber security and AI. Our new colleague is as excited as we are about engaging with these topics, and eager to leave their mark on our growing practice.
While you will be sitting in Stockholm, you will be part of the Grants & Incentives team in the Nordics (with offices in Copenhagen and Oslo, next to Stockholm), as well as being connected to EY's network of specialists in Europe and across the globe. The position includes opportunities for occasional travel both within the Nordic countries and abroad.
Our team is purpose-driven and committed to helping our clients innovate, demonstrate, and deploy green solutions to foster a better working world. We do this through supporting clients to identify and capture incentives in the form of public funding (EU and domestic funding options for the Nordics region and beyond) and as complementary measures such as R&D tax incentives and Carbon Credits. We act as trusted advisors, providing services such as scoping the ever-changing incentives landscape, understanding the policy environment, advising on, and preparing grant applications, and identifying relevant incentives across geographies.
Your key responsibilities
Communicating with clients and stakeholders, asking thoughtful questions to gather technical and business information on their projects
Evaluating project concepts and technical content to ensure the highest chances of obtaining incentives
Proposal and report writing, translating technical, scientific and market data into a compelling storyline
Planning and facilitating client meetings and workshops
Help lead our growing team of incentives professionals
Developing EY's brand and presence in the market
Qualifications for the role
Master's or PhD degree
5-8 years of relevant working experience
Native or near native proficiency in English. You are an excellent communicator - both orally and in writing - and you genuinely enjoy this component of the work.
Ideally, you'll also have
Experience with innovation management and/or sustainable development, e.g. from consultancy, a public agency / authority or an industry organisation.
Experience in preparation of funding applications, either from academia or the private sector.
Experience in calculating greenhouse gas emissions reductions.
Fluency in Danish, Swedish or Norwegian.
What we look for
A colleague who combines a relevant scientific or technical background with business and / or grants experience, as well as an entrepreneurial mindset. We are a growing business, and it is critical that you are excited about sustaining momentum in this space. You have a curiosity and an enjoyment in learning about new topics in science, technology, and the environment.
What we offer
An exciting opportunity for driving and developing our business practices around R&D incentives in Sweden as well as the Nordics. We are a highly social team that prioritizes team members well-being, and we all look forward to welcoming a new colleague. Besides this, EY also offers:
Continuous learning: You'll develop the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next.
Success as defined by you: We'll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way.
Transformative leadership: We'll give you the insights, coaching and confidence to be the leader the world needs.
