JOB SUMMARY
The Local Map Operations Analyst II contributes to the collection and verification of Map Features for the expansion and maintenance of content products for a specific geographic area. The Local Map Operations Analyst will work under close supervision of a Senior Local Map Operations Analyst and as part of the Nordic high performance team, this position executes the operational plan defined by the LMO Manager of the assigned territory.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively look for, interpret and act upon change signals in local area of responsibility as well as constantly query and draw intelligence from centrally generated change detection toolsets.

• Schedule field data collection as required, depending on the requirements set by the sub-region.

• Manage and support map project efforts with Global Production in geographic areas of responsibility.

• Ensure accurate representation of real world conditions in the map database in a defined geographic area including monitoring and interpretation of contextual local change detection signals. Participate in projects to develop improved map creation processes.

• Conduct database testing, real-world testing and inspection within a defined area as part of database ownership.

• Lead and participate in technical source evaluation.

• Ensure high priority map updates are performed where required. Execute and support Global Production Operations with map update projects.

Utbildning och erfarenhet
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
• Degree in GIS/geography, business, science, technology or related field preferred.

• 18 months to 2 years of relevant work experience.

• Local geographic knowledge/affinity/contextual understanding/cultural awareness.

• GIS-tool knowledge and proficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Excel and Word.

• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in english and in local language in assigned territory, swedish required and either norwegian or danish (written) required, icelandic is a plus. Ability to travel within and outside project coverage area.
