The Game Assembly erbjuder yrkeshögskoleutbildningar med inriktning spelutveckling. I samarbete med branschen tar vi fram utbildningar av hög kvalitet med målet att förse den svenska och internationella arbetsmarknaden med de skickligaste spelutvecklarna. Skolan startade år 2008 och har sedan dess utbildat kompetenta juniora spelutvecklare inom olika yrkeskategorier. Idag består 7% av den svenska spelbranschen av tidigare studerande från The Game Assembly. The Game Assembly är en del av AcadeMedia, Skandinaviens ledande utbildningsföretag.

JOB DESCRIPTION

TGA international is a new school we are starting in addition to our Swedish Higher Vocational Education, The Game Assembly, which we have run for 10 years. We work as a key actor within the games industry, making sure that our students are armed with the knowledge to meet the needs of companies worldwide.

As a level design educator you will be working closely with our crew of cross-disciplinary educators at The Game Assembly and teach our amazing level design students, help them to understand the value of communication, working together with others and how to make games together. You are self-motivated and have a professional attitude towards work, students and colleagues, as well as being able to both give and take constructive feedback.

This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, and requires working on-site.

You as a person

You are a creative person with a passion for teaching people new and exciting knowledge when it comes to making games and level design. It's important that you can work independently within your area of competence and at the same time you must be able to work well within our team and with the students.

We believe that the right person enjoys the role of educator / teacher and sees the joy of being involved and helping our students to develop and establish themselves within the games industry. Responsibilities

We are looking for a person with:

• Knowledge and experience of scripting in game engines.
• Knowledge and experience of design and composition in (industry) game engines.
• Knowledge and experience of the gaming industry.
• Ability to analyze and provide design feedback.
• Ability to hold classes in English

We see it as a bonus if you have:

• Experience of supervision.
• Created game assets.
• Worked professionally with commercial gaming engines.
• Experience with existing software: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Unreal Engine, Unity, Source SDK.

Your work assignments:

• Planning and coordinating the education together with colleagues
• Help and follow-up of students development in the education.



ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

TGA International is an Advanced Vocational Education in Malmö, Sweden, that educates game developers for a career in the international games industry. We 've done this since 2008, and today we have trained 7% of the Swedish games industry.

We have passionate and motivated students with a strong drive to learn more. We mimic the methods of the games industry and teach our students to work cross-disciplinary together. We spend a lot of time teaching an agile way of working, how to give and take feedback, and act on it. Our students work creatively within a structure created to mimic the day to day of established studios, making the transition from a student to an employee as easy as possible.

The Game Assembly is a key actor in the games industry ecosystem. We educate game artists, game programmers, technical artists, game animators and level designers. The educations are on-site, 8 hours a day and 90% of our students get a job in the industry after they've graduated.
